e-GEOS is a joint venture between Telespazio S.p.A. (80%) and the Italian Space Agency (20%), entered into force on June 2009. The two shareholders have assigned to e-GEOS respectively the whole EO Division and the world-wide exclusive distribution of data and services from the COSMO-SkyMed Constellation, developed by ASI in cooperation with the Italian Ministry of Defence.
e-GEOS is a leading international player in the EO and Geo-Spatial Information business. e-GEOS offers a unique portfolio of applications services, also thanks to the monitoring capabilities of COSMO-SkyMed Constellation, and has acquired leading position within European Copernicus Program. Application services include: monitoring for environmental protection, rush mapping in support to natural disaster management and humanitarian aid, specialized products for defence and intelligence, oil spill and ship detection for maritime surveillance, interferometric measurements for landslides and ground subsidence analysis, thematic mapping for agriculture and forestry.
